Hannah is the co-founder of CMNGD (COMMONGOOD) and a leading Alberta advocate for social enterprise and compassionate business innovation.
In her work, Hannah combines experience in entrepreneurship, finances and marketing with a passion for ending poverty and homelessness in Canada.
Together with her partner Dave, CMNGD offers an often missing cog for existing support programs: on the job training in a real world environment that is stable and safe, at a living wage for those living or transitioning out of a homeless shelter.
Debbie Newman, Calgary Drop-In Executive Director, comments: “I’ve had people come up to me saying they found a good job and how excited they are to take this next step in their life. Their smiles make me smile. By employing homeless people and by paying excellent wages, CMNGD is doing a lot more than simply creating good jobs, they are creating joy.”
Hannah also leads the Alberta social entrepreneurship strategy and education portfolio at ATB Financial.
