This Winter and Spring, join with people from across Treaty 6, 8, 11 and Unceded Coast Salish Territories in the “Making Peace with the Land” series!
The series is designed for small groups of community members to meet once a week mid-February to mid-May. The study-guide has been crafted so that each community group can adapt the content to their particular lived experience. Yet, by sharing in this series together, week to week, we do so all together. Diverse and in common.
Each group is encouraged to organize themselves. Bring in your book club, neighborhood councils, classroom, church, youth group, work places! Or better yet, invite anyone to join you in a community potluck once a week! The series is accessible to all, honoring and welcoming the diversity of beliefs, philosophies and traditions from which we all come. Our diversities are the strength of community. The series provides the materials and resources to help groups explore the topic of what it means to be a good local and global neighbor today. After each gathering, each group is encouraged to contribute to the Living Blog on the Spirit of the Land website so that people across the lands can hear about the good work we are all doing!
