Join us for Spirit of the Land Foundation’s inaugural event!

Stories & Music

Local musician, Ryan Lindsay, will host an intimate evening of a singer-songwriter circle. He will be joined by award winning musicians Troy Kokol, Joni Delaurier, and Don Amero. Watch these songwriters take to the stage to discuss their process and tell the stories behind their songs.

Cooperative Prairie Vision

We will also be launching a co-op project to purchase and operate Sunrise Farm, part of a larger vision of prairie stewardship for generations to come.

Local Food Appetizers

We’re pleased to be offer local food appetizers and drinks catered by local businesses: Grub & Shrub Farm, Lazuli Farms, The French Raw Chef, NRG coffee, Vinesation and more! Camrose’s one and only gelato maker, Craig Wentland, will serve chokecherry and Saskatoon gelato at the event. This will be accompanied by Little Bird Baking chamomile flavoured cookies.

Live & Silent Auction

We have some wonderful local items: half hour plane ride, log house retreat, pollinator basket, wildflower artist painted bird house, bird feeder, four litres of saskatoons, prairie photograph cards and photograph, hand made wooden truck, leather fringed vest, painting of person holding child’s hand and looking towards the future of the prairies (done on a vintage 1962 canvas prairie map), board game, banjo lessons, a guitar signed by the musicians, plus Art of Ten Thousand Licks.

Our Goals

The Spirit of the Land Foundation will focus on providing opportunities for place based, hands-on learning activities in the community and surrounding rural areas. The Foundation will also address the issue of making farmland affordable for new young agrarians through co-operative and community land ownership.
